The Burnley FC Women first team compete in the FA Women’s National League Northern Premier Division, and have shown fantastic development over recent seasons.
At the end of the 2017/18 season the club’s first team were promoted to the FA Women’s National League Division One North. The side then went on to secure back to back promotions as in the 2018/19 season they were promoted into the FA Women’s Northern Premier Division, the third their in the women’s football pyramid.
The season saw Burnley FC Women enjoy their most successful league campaign to date, conceding only 14 goals all season and finishing 13 points clear of second placed Brighouse Town AFC Women.
Ahead of the 2019/20 season the team had a busy summer and pre-season with First Team Manager Matt Bee expanding the squad with ten new signings including; Olivia Wilson from Everton Ladies, Sarah Agger from Blackburn Rovers LFC, Kenedy Owen from Manchester United Development, Kerry Hope from Huddersfield Town Ladies FC and Nic Worthington from Bolton Wanderers Ladies FC.
Further new players strengthening the squad include Kelly Halligan, Olivia Greenhalgh, Levi Rathburn, Cara Bickett and Melissa Brown.
Burnley FC Women First Team play their home fixtures at Padiham FC’s Ruby Civil Arena. Entrance to games is £3 for adults, £1 for under 16s.
All proceeds raised from fixtures are split between Burnley FC Women and Padiham FC.
