Burnley FC Women continue their league campaign on Sunday as they travel to Leeds United Ladies.
The Clarets have been on a winning run with last Sunday’s 2-0 win over Liverpool Feds the side’s eleventh league game unbeaten.
However, the established Leeds side who are currently sitting on 22 points, are also hunting a top place finish and can go within touching distance of Burnley by winning their two games in hand.
Burnley FC Women First Team Manager, Matt Bee said: “Sunday will be a big test of our character and quality and we know that nothing less than an excellent performance in all areas will see us get a positive result. League tables are irrelevant, we must focus on our strategy and game plan and nothing else.”
“Leeds are a fantastic side and club and they are having a great season. They have been strong in both cup competitions and the league and they have a team full of quality.”
“The players know what is expected of them on Sunday and ultimately it is down to us to go and perform. We need a big team performance and I trust my players to deliver.”
