“The club has had a great first half of the season, particularly in light of this being the first season with us which is testament to Matt’s management and everyone’s hard work”.
Matt said: “It is always nice to get recognised for the hard work that you are doing. I am very proud to win the award.
“We have certainly punched well above our weight so far this season, and that is a credit to everyone involved.
Individual awards are obviously nice to receive but my focus is on ensuring that the team achieves as a collective.”
Burnley FC in the Community Chief Executive Officer and Burnley FC Women Committee Chairman Neil Hart presented Matt with his award.
The hard work continues as maintaining momentum through the next two months is crucial to the continued progression of the team in what has been a remarkable two-year period under his tenure.

In the new year the team face strong opposition when they play fellow league rivals Chester-le-Street on Sunday 13th January, who came out 3-0 winners in the first game of the season and then Blackburn Rovers LFC on Sunday 20th January at Padiham FC’s, Arbories Memorial Sports Ground in the Lancashire FA Women’s Challenge Cup semi-final.
