After a run of twelve consecutive league wins the past two games have been very eventful, how are you feeling after such a narrow defeat to Bolton Wanderers Ladies and the 5-4 win over Norton & Stockton Ancients?

We had a fantastic run of wins in the league and the players deserve immense credit for showing such consistency. Ultimately that is why we are in the position we are in!

The Bolton loss was disappointing because we didn’t operate how we wanted to, Bolton are a good side and they punished us for not being on top of our game.

The Norton performance was a real game of two halves, first half we were fantastic but in the second half we made poor errors, we have to react and learn from this over the coming weeks. Obviously getting the 3 points was crucial though and we did that, so we are now in a position to move forward.

With six league games to go, what are your aims for the rest of the season?

My focus is on the next game against Newcastle United, we have to work hard in training to be fully prepared and we know we will have to be at our best if we are to get the 3 points.

We are aware of the situation we are in and clearly the target is to win the league. We have put ourselves in a very good position and we need to be fully focused on getting over the finish line.

Are there any upcoming games that you are particularly looking forward to?

Every game at this stage is important. The minute you start to think that one game has more significance than another you are in trouble. Consistency is what wins you titles, and we must approach every game with a clear focus and massive desire to get the job done.

What is your advice to the squad for the rest of the season?

They need to remember what has allowed us to get to where we are, hard work, belief, focus and a huge togetherness. Our strength is how we operate together, and we have to show that in the remaining games.

The team need to keep a clear focus and approach every game with a confidence in themselves and each other. I trust the players to perform.

How have you settled into the Ruby Civil Arena at Padiham FC? Do you think the move this season has had an effect of on the team?

It’s been a positive move for us, we’ve certainly settled in and having a real home has been a major plus for the club and all the players.
